I believe that my transcription has truly unearthed and made clear the vast majority of the Harley poet’s intended meanings; As a result the methodology of the system he described becomes, IMO, very much clearer than has previously been the case. I am so glad this is now “live and public”! Sitting on this has been killing me. I said it before privately, now I get to say publicly that I have seen some very interesting and careful work on these texts, but your work with this poem has produced the most internally consistent and intelligible “translation” into modern English that I have seen.

As an outsider looking in, I’m anxious to see what the reconstructed English system of longsword looks like ten years from now.
